Variations on a Theme

There are indeed a thousand ways to accomplish any given task.  Here are three distinct solutions to a singular design problem: Create an organic, yet clean and modern kitchen island that will be the visual focus of a room. The first solution takes a monolithic approach to the use of stone slabs. The second replaces most of the stone with a structured wood shroud and introduces a gentle curve.  The third is rendered in natural copper and stone, and glows from behind it’s cast glass facade.
